Students interactive session: bringing fresh perspectives

We are pleased invite you and your university students to follow  the FAO/WHO  International Symposium on Sustainable Food Systems for Healthy Diets and Improved Nutrition to be held in Rome, FAO headquarters, on December 1st-2nd 2016.

The upcoming Symposium will feature a special session to allow students from different regions of the world to convey their views to policy and decision makers on ways to strengthen sustainable food systems for healthy diets and improved nutrition.

This special session will allow students from different regions of the world to convey their views to policy and decision makers on ways to strengthen sustainable food systems for healthy diets and improved nutrition.

Participating universities from all regions (see list below) will connect in video conference for the session, while their Students Representatives will physically attend the session in Rome to convey messages on behalf of their fellow students, and discuss with a panel of international experts.

The session is virtually opened to all students worldwide via webcast and twitter. The key messages from this session will be reported in the final plenary of the Symposium.

The session is organized with the help of the international movement Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) and of the FAO Partnerships Advocacy and Capacity Development Division.
